Errata in distributed Allegro CL 6.1 documentation

This document contains the following sections:

1.0 Errata introduction

This file is intended to be updated from time to time, describing errors discovered in the Allegro CL 6.1 documentation. In this Allegro CL version 6.1 update # 1, the following errors were discovered (and corrected):

• The description of updating bundle files in Updating the bundle file in introduction.htm was correct for Allegro CL 6.0 but incorrect for Allegro CL 6.1.
• The description of update-bundle-files has also been updated, for the same reason that Updating the bundle file was updated.
• The description of starting on UNIX using a shellscript in Starting on UNIX using a shell script in startup.htm left out the important point that on most varieties of UNIX, the Allegro CL executable file must be in a directory included in the PATH environment variable for the shellscript to start Allegro CL correctly.
• The description of *load-documentation* has been updated. That symbol was inadvertently not exported in Allegro CL 6.1. Obtaining the syscall.fasl patch (made available after 12/10/01) exports the symbol.
• The descriptions of body-left-indentation, right-indentation, and top-left-indentation have all been rewritten to make clear the different behavior on text-edit-panes and rich-edit-rulers.
• The description of class-graph-initial-depth has been rewritten to make its effect and use more clear.
• The descriptions of the dialogs Definitions and Options | Project have been updated to include descriptions of features not described in the initial version.
• The document streams.htm has a new section, Encapsulating Streams. This section describes functionality in Allegro CL 6.1 as delivered, but not previously documented.

(By significant changes, we mean those where the information in the distribution is misleading or incorrect. We do not list obvious typos, bad (but understandable) formatting, etc.)
